Taste Talks is thrilled to announce the inaugural Taste Talks Los Angeles , curated by musician and certified chef Kelis .
From Friday, November 4 to Sunday, November 6, our innovative series of food festivals and conversations with over 3,000 attendees in both Brooklyn and Chicago is coming to the West Coast. L.A.’s top cultural influencers and culinary luminaries will gather at The Line Hotel in Koreatown and other culinary hot-spots throughout the city to celebrate the future of taste.

This festival, we’re bringing together food and culture like never before with the help of two-time Grammy Award nominee Kelis. She’s put out six albums including one perfectly-titled “Food” , but she’s also a Le Cordon Bleu -trained chef, the author of the cookbook My Life On A Plate: Recipes From Around the World , and a small business owner of gourmet sauce company Bounty & Full . As festival curator, Kelis will draw on the global culinary inspiration reflected both in Los Angeles’ culinary landscape and her book, bringing together her favorite food, beverage, and music experts for a weekend your tastebuds won’t soon forget.
Festival highlights include appearances by Kris Yenbamroong of NIGHT + MARKET , Brooke Williamson of The Tripel , Suzanne Tracht of Jar , Curtis Stone of Maude , Chris Oh of Seoul Sausage Co , and Nyesha Arrington of Leona .

The city embodies the spirit of Taste Talks in every way: it’s home to some of the country’s most exciting up-and-coming chefs, it’s forward thinking, it’s diverse, and it’s eager to explore new ideas in food and drink,” says festival director Will Levitt .

First launched in Brooklyn in 2012, then in Chicago in 2013, each Taste Talks festival includes a day-long celebration of culinary innovation through a series of panels, fireside chats, demos and tastings. Taste Talks Los Angeles attendees will gather to celebrate the future of taste with epic meals and parties featuring top L.A. chefs and personalities. The weekend will finish off with our signature All-Star BBQ , where the biggest names in food and pop-culture team up for a cookout backed up by live music.
